GETTING TO BRECKLAND HOUSE
Breckland
House is situated in St Nicholas Street on the West side of Thetford Town
Centre off the London/Norwich Road. The
following are details of various approaches:

A1088 |
A1066 from Diss (A143) At the first roundabout on outskirts of Thetford turn
right into Hurth Way. At the
roundabout at end of this road, turn left into Norwich Road. Proceed for about ˝ a mile to traffic
lights and turn left into St Nicholas Street. A1088 from Ipswich (A14
westbound) As for
the A1066 above, but at the first roundabout go straight ahead instead of
turning right. A11 from London (A14 eastbound) Turn right at first roundabout on the Thetford
Bypass. Proceed to second set of
traffic lights and turn right into St Nicholas Street A134 from Bury St EdmundsFollow road into Thetford to traffic lights and
turn right. Continue to next set of
traffic lights and turn right into St Nicholas Street. |
A11 from Norwich and A1075 from
Dereham
Follow sigh for Thetford at first roundabout on the
A11 Thetford Bypass. Follow road for
about 2 miles crossing straight over at second roundabout. Turn left at first traffic lights into St
Nicholas Street,
A134 from King’s Lynn (A47)
Upon reaching the A11 Thetford
Bypass go straight ahead at the roundabout.
Follow this road for about 1˝ miles and turn right at roundabout. Proceed to traffic lights at crossroads and
turn left into St Nicholas Street.
The public car park adjacent to Breckland House has approximately 30 spaces and is free of charge, however, a time limit of 2 hour applies to discourage long-stayers. Alternative free car parks with no waiting limits may be found in White Hart Street and Bridge Street, within a few minutes walk of Breckland House, access via A134 Bury Road. For larger functions, it is suggested that delegates park at the alternative car parks and walk if they can. Please be advised that there are a number of disable parking space outside Breckland House.
There is a Railway Station about 10 minutes’ walk from Breckland House. Come out of the station down road to the left (Station Road). At bottom of road you will see pedestrian crossing to your left, go over the crossing and take path down hill past Wereham Guest House on the left and Thomas Paine Hotel on your right. At traffic lights at bottom of Hill turn right you will see the offices, a large brick building with glass roof on your right further along the road. The entrance is at the front in the Courtyard.
